What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you sign up for email marketing. In doing this, we use Mailchimp. Information about you is also collected by our social media accounts – Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, LinkedIn and Instagram – and it is stored within those platforms and used in accordance with their privacy policies. We also collect and save the email addresses and company information (including telephone numbers and street addresses) of all the B2B partners that we work with. This includes information collected on business cards. Information is also collected via the use of cookies on our website.

How will we use the information about you?

Currently, the information we have collected about you is used (if you agree) to contact you regarding stock and new developments (in the case of suppliers and stockists) and to send you marketing emails (see the marketing section below). The cookies on our website collect data that is used to create Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads, including Youtube pre-roll ads (see the marketing section below). This is in accordance with the privacy policies of those platforms. My Accountant Friend will not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies.

Marketing

Our email marketing consists of monthly communications regarding accountancy and the life of freelancers/contractors, including updates on blogs, events that My Accountant Friend is involved in and new clients (with their permission). We use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube and LinkedIn to share information with you, in accordance with the privacy policies of those platforms. We use cookies (see below) on our website relating to Facebook and Google, and we use the data that is collected with these cookies in order to use Facebook and and Google advertising. Any data collected using these cookies is stored and processed by, and in accordance with, Facebook and Google themselves. In the event that this should change, we will update this information immediately. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please let us know.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
